Can I print a PDF with conditional text having colours?

Post by ChoccieMuffin »

When you look in the XML editor you can see which bits of text have conditions if you show conditional indicators (that handy button at the bottom of the editor) but I have several outputs that I'd like to be able to see which bits are conditional text, and that would be most easily done by having a coloured background on conditioned text. (This particular project has several tonnes of snippets, and nested snippets, and I've had problems with snippet conditions not being hidden in nested snippets.)

Can anyone suggest a way I could do this? It would make checking my outputs SO much easier and I'd be a lot more likely to spot cockups with my snippet conditions that way.

Thanks in anticipation.

Does anyone have any suggestions for this question please? I have several thousand pages to look through and I think I'll go blind without a bit of additional assistance from background colours!

Hi,

There's no way to "turn this on" in Flare. It's was submitted as a feature request years back, though.

Take a look at Wayne's (wbrisett) post on 28 Feb 2012 at 12:26:

You'd need to make another stylesheet to add colors to the tags, but it works. Just attach the stylesheet with colors for review output and then use the original for publication.
Trent.

Certifiable.
