Avoiding broken hyperlinks in PDF output

Post by ChoccieMuffin »

Sorry for the stupid question - I would search on here or in the help but I don't know what to search for!

I have a single topic (well, hundreds of them) that is used in both a CHM target and a PDF target. In the CHM target I want to include hyperlinks to help-only topics which do not come out as hyperlinks in the PDF. I know there's something you can do to a hyperlink so that you don't just get a broken hyperlink in the PDF, but I can't for the life of me remember what it is, so instead I've got a hyperlink to a help-only topic conditioned as help-only followed immediately by just the text of the hyperlink conditioned as PDF-only. This is clearly a really inefficient way to do it, and I know the solution is straightforward, so I wonder if any of you lovely people can help. (I've spent ages just trying to work out what to put in the topic title!)

When you open the Condition Tags dialog box on the link (a tag), there is an Exclude Action at the bottom. If you select Unbind, then when the link is conditioned out, the text within the link remains behind, inside whatever the parent tag was, and you don't need to repeat it like you are doing.

Thank you so much - I knew it was something straightforward but just couldn't remember!
