Making a skin for a Touchscreen LCD

Post by stephricks »

My team and I have been tasked with creating a webhelp system that will be used on a touchscreen only with no alphanumeric keyboard or onscreen keyboard available. This should be fun. We haven't actually created a skin like this before and I was wondering if anyone has. I would think that this fits in line with a mobile type application, but ? Any templates out there that you know of to help get me started would be great... 964 x 595 is my desired screen real estate. :flare:

There is one type of WebHelp Mobile skin (in several colours) that comes with Flare, but there are no mobile skins in the skin gallery (http://www.madcapsoftware.com/downloads ... llery.aspx).

Editing skins is quite easy, although you may find the options are a bit limited. Presumably you'd switch off the Search option, if you don't have any means to enter text.

To check how WebHelp Mobile looks on a device, there's an online example here:

That is what I kind if figured... no mobile skins out there really to work from besides the Iphone looking ones they have in the library. Thanks for the link to the other skins. Maybe I can pull from that and make something worth while. I appreciate your help.
