When a pop up window is accessed from our help file on the iPad, there are several issues:
1. There is no way to close the pop up window. The user has to click the Back button or select a new topic entirely, which defeats the purpose of the pop up window.
2. If there is not much content in the pop up window, there is a ridiculous amount of white space at the end of the pop up window.
3. If there is a lot of content in the pop up window, only some of the content displays - the rest of the content is cut off and there is no way to scroll down to view the rest of the content in the pop up window.
Since the same file is being used for mobile output and HTML5 output, we would prefer not to have to individually set each pop up window to open in a parent frame for the mobile output (we like the pop up windows in HTML5 and aren't going to change them).
Is there a workaround aside from the one I mentioned for these issues? Or is there an easier way to define all pop up windows to open in the parent frame without having to change the format of each pop up window?
