Index for mobile?

Is there a sensible way to build an index for mobile help? Mine looks stupid.

Most of time, my output is PDF.In a PDF index, you see page numbers adjacent to each index item. Or maybe you see a string of page numbers separated by commas. All well and good.

In a mobile index, you don't see page numbers adjacent to each index item. And you don't see a string of page numbers, either.

Instead, if you happen to have a word set up to index, and that word shows up five times in the topic "Don't Do This," then you see "Don't Do This" listed in the index five times.

Momentarily flummoxed. Suggestions?
