Differences in WebHelp & CHM content - should be the same

Has anyone ever come across a situation where your WebHelp has one version of the topic, but the CHM is showing another? I don't have any conditions or anything set differently between what to publish or not publish in the different outputs. For some reason my WebHelp has the correct image, but the CHM is showing the wrong image. I can't figure out why this would be happening as they're both the same image file!

The only explanation I have is caching by the IE engine in the CHM viewer. You can delete the cache from Control Panel > Internet Options > General page > Delete... (in Browsing History section). In the same spot you can also click on Settings and view the cached files. The only other thing I can think of is that the CHM file itself was not updated in the location you use.

You may want to try the CHM on a different machine to see if its a cache issue.

It just wasn't publishing when I told it to. I tried multiple times before it actually did it. The destination was correct, but it wouldn't overwrite for whatever reason. I was looking at the time the folders were modified in the explorer and it wasn't changing. I wondered if Flare was getting confused or something since my coworker and I were changing the destination a lot since we were both working on topics and looking at them locally in the CHM and WebHelp (I publish separately. I don't have it set up to do both at once).

Maybe there was still a lock on the file? Doesn't matter much now that you figured it out. You also can always copy the file from the build folder yourself or run the help right from there. Since CHMs do not run off network shares (unless you hack the Windows registry) and you should build to a local folder (way better performance) the CHM can be used right after compiling it.
