Styling issue: MadCap variable inserted into header element

Post by ariestav »

Hi There,

Throughout my topics, I have header tags where I insert variables I've defined in Flare. When I build the CHM, the text that appears for a variable does not conform or inherit the styles of the header element where it was inserted. I want a Flare variable to match or inherit the styles from the elements that they appear in. It does seem that if I insert a variable into a header element, that it should respect the header elements styles.

Are there any pointers for this in the documentation? I read something about Header Variables being distinctly different from Variables, but I thought they were mainly used for index purposes.

Thank you for your time and help!
