Links to Bookmarks
Before I finally go nuts and balistic, can someone confirm the following please?
I import a Project from RoboHelp-X5 in which is a Topic with a 200+ row table which contains Bookmarks against each row.
In Flare, I create Hyperlinks from a separate Topic to the Topic containing the above table.
No problem, I am taken to direct to that table row.
HOWEVER, if in Flare I create a NEW Bookmark in the aforementioned table, and then Hyperlink to it, the net result is that it will only go to the start of the project.
Or am I being a total F.A.? (Flare Abuser)

Re: Links to Bookmarks
I've managed to link into the middle of tables OK. How are you setting up the hyperlinks? In the Insert hyperlink dialog you select the topic first, then click the Bookmark button to specify a specific spot in the selected topic.

Re: Links to Bookmarks
Hmm - not sure if I can help much more. I'd look at the html code to see if there is any difference in the working ex-RH links and the new ones.
FYI - I have links into tables working in both CHMs and webhelp.

Make sure the bookmarks you create don't have any spaces in their names.

Re: Links to Bookmarks
Then I'd go with wclass's suggestion -- look at a working version of the hyperlink code and a working version of the bookmark code and see if you can notice anything different between the working and non-working versions.

Re: Links to Bookmarks
Well, here's Madcap's response:
"This is a known issue with the CHM output. Due to the fact that CHM output does not support in-page anchors, a workaround needs to be developed to solve this shortcoming.
"I've submitted a feature request to the developers and have tied that request to your name, so that you will be contacted if it is added in a future release."
Funny how it worked ok with RH-05's Bookmarks.

Re: Links to Bookmarks
If it works with RH code, then you can probably hack the Flare XML to get it to work the same way. There were a couple of suggestions to look at the code itself to see what code actually works. Do that, then emulate it.

Re: Links to Bookmarks
Hang on - can we question Madcap's response? There's a known issue with INDEX anchors and CHMs, but I thought we were looking at just hyperlinks and bookmarks!
