Hi All,
When I converted my content to Microsoft HTML Help, some chapters and sections within some chapters are missing. Also the CSS is not getting applied to the output file. It is taking basic CSS style sheet.
The same target was converted to .chm earlier and it is proper. Do I need any Addin's to convert to chm?
I am using Flare 3.1

Re: Missing chapters
When you say the chm built properly before but doesn't now the question has to be "What's changed"?
If you have content from within a topic not included, my first thought is conditional tags. Are there any conditions on the skipped text etc?
When you say the chm is taking the basic stylesheet, do you mean the default stylesheet from when you created the project?
Flare doesn't use addins - everything you need is already there.

Steve,
Some places I have changed the content. But its 2-3 sentences. I havent modified any conditional tags. I have modified some content.
Yes. Flare is using the default style sheet not the custom one. But for PDF and WebHelp it is using custom style sheet.
thanks,
raghu

Re: Missing chapters
Style sheets are applied at the topic level. The only control at the project level is stylesheet medium.
If your webhelp and pdfs display correctly but the html help doesn't, check the stylesheet medium - open the properties dialog for the html target, click the advanced tab and make sure the stylesheet medium is set properly.
If you can't see a reason for the "skipped" content, I'd open the topic in a text editor and make sure there are no conditional tags around the content that's playing up. Even if there are no tags, it might provide an insight to what's happening.

Re: Missing chapters
What version of Flare are you using? For the CSS issue, there was a problem in v3.1 with CHMs and stylesheets that caused the default sheet to be attached for projects that had worked in earlier versions. You need to apply the patch and clear the checkbox on the Target Advanced tab.
Have a look at the KB article at:

I can't explain the missing text, though.

Steve,
What option I need to set in stylesheet medium?
There are 3 options: Print, non-print and default.
thanks,
raghu

Re: Missing chapters
To make a CHM, normally you would choose "Default." "Non-print" in theory should also work.
Until next time....

Re: Missing chapters
It was Default initially and CHM output was taking default CSS style sheet instead of custom one.

Re: Missing chapters
I applied the patch and still have the problem. Also the hyperlinks are coming within quotes ("").
Does it have to do anything with FrameMaker version I am using. I am using Frame 7.1.
Missing content issue is also still there. Please help on these.
thx,
raghu
