Dear MadCap Pulse Customers and Trial Users .
We have just released an update to MadCap Pulse to address some intermittent expiration warning behaviors that you may have encountered during installation or testing. The following are examples of these warnings you may have encountered:
• “The trial on the selected MadCap Pulse server has expired. Contact Sales@madcapsoftware.com to purchase a license key.”
• “Your Pulse server activation has expired. Please contact MadCap Software to renew your license.”

Please follow one of the instructions below depending on whether you have or haven’t as of yet installed the server component.

If you currently have MadCap Pulse Server installed and running:
Please download the following patch and save it locally from the following location:
http://downloads.madcapsoftware.com/pul ... e_V331.exe

Instructions for installing the patch update:
1. Copy the patch to the server where MadCap Pulse is installed and running on
2. Close Pulse Admin if its running
3. Launch the patch and follow the instructions
4. If you encounter the installer asking about running services, press continue. The update does not need to stop any existing services.
5. Refresh the Pulse Administration Webpage (example - http://MYSERVER.com/pulse). Clear the browser cache if needed.
6. This update will be listed in the Add/Remove programs > View Installed Updates section.
7. When finished, the Help > About version will say 3.3.1.0


If you do not have MadCap Pulse Server installed as of yet:
Please Delete any existing MadCap Pulse Server installation files
Download the latest version from the following location:
