MathML without MadCap:equation?

Post by Lilshieste »

Hi all,

We'd like to embed some MathML in some of our pages, but Flare automatically wraps MathML with its own MadCap:equation element. Is it possible to suppress this wrapping? (If so, is it possible to suppress it conditionally? e.g., only for HTML targets)

For example: consider a document that is targeting HTML5. Since MathML is part of the HTML5 standard, we'd like to embed it so that HTML5-compliant browsers can render equations natively. Unfortunately, since the MathML is wrapped in a MadCap:equation element, the MathML never makes it into the HTML output.

Regards,
Joe Miller
