Bookmarks outdated <a name=> vs <a id=>

Post by ericjohnson7 »

From what I have read <a name=> is no longer going to be supported in HTML5. This makes me wonder if Flare is going to update to the new <a id=> for bookmarking, cross-referencing and CSH calls. Or at least provide us with an option to select <a id=> for linking. I'm starting to see conflicts now when interfacing with developers.

"The <a> name attribute is not supported in HTML5. Use the id attribute instead."

Thank you.

I'd suggest a feature request to MadCap.

As posted in another thread here, the response I reveived from MadCap two says ago on this and other HTML5 issues as:-

"Unfortunately, the upshot is that Flare 2013 r3 does not produce HTML5 output that validates with W3C."
