HTML5 Output and Search Crawlers

Post by iperez_genius »

It seems we are having a problem with ranking in Google Search.

We do have some search traffic but for the size of our help it doesn't make sense that pages don't show.

can anyone give any advice, direct on what we can do to improve this.

Do we need to turn something on?

Regards

Greetings. Are you saying that you have published your HTML 5 document to a website but the topics are not being displayed in a search engine such as Google? If yes, then it is possible your website has a robots.txt file at the root, and possibly within directories, that is instructing search engines to not index your site. You can edit that file to indicate the directories you want to allow.

(1) Create an account on Google Webmasters, and register your website.

(2) Generate a sitemap for your in Flare target, and submit the sitemap XML file for your site in Google Webmasters. This gives Google a list of all the topics in your help.

If you already have search results in Google for your site, then that suggests it's working and isn't blocked - but check the robots.txt just in case.

Google Webmasters has information on what to do to help with your site's search rankings - generally speaking, just make sure it has good and relevant content.
