We recently rebuilt our manuals using HTML5/web layout. I am trying to figure out how to do the below. Using 2017 r3.
- When a topic is found in a search and is selected, the appropriate book(s) are opened and the topic is selected in the TOC pane. This behavior was there in our Flare 2010-created manuals.
- When viewing a topic, the path is displayed at the top of the topic itself, in the heading area. This used to display but stopped, I'm guessing it may have been accidentally turned off eg "Book1 > Sub-book2 > topic"
Location of selected topic

Re: Location of selected topic
What you're looking for is BREADCRUMBS.
I suggest you add a breadcrumb proxy to your masterpage, and you can format how it looks by editing your stylesheet, specifically MadCap|breadcrumbsProxy.

Started as a newbie with Flare 6.1, now using Flare 2023.

Re: Location of selected topic
The other thing you wanted is controlled by Skin option, General tab, Automatically Synchronize TOC.
Re: Location of selected topic
Thanks for your help!
I was able to get the topic to select in the TOC which is awesome. There is a bread crumb proxy in my masterpage and I have that setting set in my target and skin but it's still not showing.
