Publishing an HTML5 site to a Salesforce community

Post by karenopenmarket »

Has anyone successfully published an HTML5 site from Flare to a Salesforce community? We are starting to develop a community to serve as a Help Center (e.g., help.netflix.com) and I'm seeking lessons learned and tips about publishing into that platform. Thank you!

You will need to use a Clean XHTML target instead of HTML5. Certain things like image thumbnails and expanding text will not transfer over to SalesForce. Overall I was surprised at how simple it was to get going. That said, I would recommend having the Madcap Flare support plan--I recently experienced issues publishing and after a month of troubleshooting with their team, I was on the phone with Flare reps for a 3 hour call before the issue was fixed. It would never have been possible without access to their support team.
