I'm trying to figure out how to edit a ruler (hr) for a WebHelp target. The Flare Help says to use the stylesheet editor, but I can't seem to figure out which properties apply to the color, width, and length of the ruler (hr).
Can someone help me with this? Please.
Thanks,
Bonnie
editing rulers: how do you do it?
Re: editing rulers: how do you do it?
In the Stylesheet Editor, select the <hr> tag, then set the Stylesheet Editor to "Show: Property Groups".
The height, type, and color of the line are set under the "Border" group of styles. (You can specify a color if you select solid or one of the other types that support colors.)
The width is controlled under the "Box" group.
Note that the browsers are not consistent in how they display some of the line types, so test the effect in as many browsers as you can, or in the browsers the majority of your users will use.

Oh, thanks! I had tried the border properties, but I realize now that I was unintentionally editing the style in the wrong medium.
