File this one under "silly questions", but I can't figure out where to store the Flash Movie file that I want to link to from within my Online Help System. My original idea was to create a sub-folder within the Content Folder and store it there, but then Flare chokes when I generate my output. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

You could try creating a new folder under the Resources folder. I created one called "docs" for PDFs. You could create one called "anims" or "movies" or whatever.

Thanks - I tried that and get the following error when trying to generate WebHelp output:
Code: Select all
Processing source files...
Compiler (Internal Error): Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
Aborted.

To start off with, what is the thing you're actually linking to - a htm page, a SWF file?
You can also stick a SWF file directly into a topic, just use Insert > Picture.

I have stored ours in the Images folder which I believe is where the system also puts them by default if you insert a movie that doesn't reside in your project from Insert > Picture.

Thanks everyone for your input. This turned out to be really easy (as you all pointed out) once I understood the connection between Mimic, Flare and publishing outputs.
Cheers!
