Programmatically script the generation of Doc-To-Help output

Post by _tom_ »

Hello,

I'm following on from the following post which asks about integrating the generation of Doc-To-Help output in to their build process.
Automating Doc-To-Help on a Build Server

I was wondering whether anyone has had any luck on this side of things. We're currently working with v5 of the Doc-To-Help software and all I can find in the documentation is ways to generate it through Word. I've tried the usual search terms in the Knowledge Base and Forums as well as Google and StackOverflow but I can't see anything that can help.

Any pointers would really be helpful as it is something that'd be really useful.

Kind regards,
Tom

Hi,

I suggest to look into D2H's current online help:
http://help.madcapsoftware.com/d2h5/Con ... ight=batch

Another Option is to use Build Scheduler. This allows you to set time for automatic builds. Your pc must be on and you must not have the project open you want to build in order to start Build Scheduler successfully

Today we started getting this generic error. no more info to say what property file.
"Template property specifies a non-existent file"

Hi,

Is the problem already solved?
I assume that this is not a problem related to batch/scheduling a build. You will get the same error when starting the build manually. The error says that the template (probably the target template) selected in this D2H project no longer exists. Maybe it is accidentally moved or deleted?

Kind regards
Jack
