Welcome to the forums! :)

I'm afraid you haven't given us enough information. Exactly what are you trying to change the background color of? Depending on what you are trying to change, you may need to set the background color either in your main stylesheet or in a skin.

So, tell us more, tell us more! :)

P.S. and maybe an "oops": I'm a Flare expert, not a Doc-To-Help expert, and I fear my answer is Flare-centric. Maybe our resident D2H expert Sabine will weigh in.

Hi,

I promise to help :). Please publish a screenshot of a responsive Nethelp and mark the area for which you want to change background color.

Hi,

there a quite a few questions you have and maybe even more answers :)
First, I assume that you work with current DocToHelp, which means that you edit your content in Word. If this assumption is not right, tell us more details about your project, your D2H version and what kind of source files it contains.
To start with what I can answer without having a DocToHelp installation at hand:
1. If you edit your content in Word, color of the marked text is resp. should be* as Heading 1 style in your target template.
2. CSS name of your theme is to be found in Theme designer (see in the left middle at the top). Here you will also find a link to jQuery Theme roller. You may upload your current css, modify it and download it again. JQuery theme roller should give you the option to modify the blue background color to look as in your sample. Be sure to use the same version for download and give the zip name a different name from your current css.
3. As for the black parts you want have white it will be possible by adding an appropriate style to user.css in your theme folder. I once figured it out for the C1 forum. Not sure whether it is still be found. I will have access to my sample on Monday again.
4. Search access is at the top in DocToHelp.
* won't be if you have modified it in your source file directly, means without changing the style in Word

Hi,

I am almost certain that you may need some more details, still I don't know which. So, keep on asking.

Hi Cynthiad,

As for 1:
I understand from your mail that in your Word source document color of Heading 1 is the same as in your current NetHelp target. The question is: how is color in Word document achieved? And what's the color in your target template?
Please use Word's function "Formatierung anzeigen" (Its shortcut is Shift F1, I work with a German Word, don't know what's its name in your Word). You will have to activate the checkbox near the end to get the information I need for further help (see attached png
2017-06-02_15-22-51.png
). If you publish a picture from your heading 1, it will help.
As for 2:
If you have difficulties to find location of your current css to upload it (by copying it via the clipboard):
You may need to find location of your customized theme (see D2H documentation). If you still work with a given theme, create a new one (see D2H documentation). At the location of your customized themes you may find a subfolder named Common which contains a subfolder NetHelp 2.0. The rest of the way is easy to find.
As for 3:
At the location of your customized theme there will be a subfolder named "NetHelp 2.0" with a subfolder "Theme" which contains subfolders for each theme. Folder names are what you see in Theme Editor. In each of these folders there is a css file namde user.css. Open this file with a text editor (not Word!). Enter the class #c1sideTabsPanel as shown in the last picture
