PHP server-side scripting on MadCap Central

Post by Davbo »

Hi all
Can anyone tell me if PHP scripting is supported on MC Central? I have a project that uses a third-party search engine that uses PHP scripts. However, on building, the script does not run. The PHP file instead downloads locally.
Any help or ideas much appreciated.
Thanks, David

If you're using pre- or post-build events, then it appears that it is not supported. I saw this passage in http://docs.madcapsoftware.com/central/ ... sGuide.pdf:

PRE- AND POST-BUILD EVENTS
If you create pre- or post-build events in your Flare target, they will not function when building from
MadCap Central.

Hi all

Just in case it's of interested, MadCap support have confirmed that Central does not support any server-side scripting for security reasons. However, custom JavaScript is no problem.

Cheers
