HTML5 does not display TOC, Index, or topic content

Post by MCPBecker »

Hi, All,

This is my first time trying HTML5 output. I have everything working fine on my local machine, but when I post to the web server, the TOC, Index, and topic pages are blank. I only see the skin. None of the buttons or tabs work. I have read everything I can find about making HTML5 output work, but nothing seems to apply. I'm getting pretty desperate. I've seen other posts about this, but none of the solutions seem to apply to me. This is a problem with both Chrome and IE.

You mean that when you build the HTML and access it locally (browsing it on your filesystem), everything is fine, but when you get it to your web server, there are issues?

If that's the case, it sounds like the problem is with your web server, not with Flare or your project.

Hi,
Are you uploading your output to a non-Microsoft web server?

If so, this thread might help:

I found out the problem had to do with upper case file names.
