Can't paste then crop

Hi,

I have an old screengrab that I've opened and I want to update it by pasting a new, smaller image from a more up-to-date screen grab. I then want to crop this to size.

The problem: the crop excludes the newly pasted image. In other software, I can flatten the image to incorporate the pasted image and then crop, but I can't find flatten or its equivalent.

This has also revealed another problem... when I try and copy to the clipboard or save the new image (with pasted detail) I get the following error:

'Failed to run command Save

Exception. Parameter is not valid.

I'm used to doing this kind of thing in Snagit without a hitch.

I'm running Capture 6.0.2, with no updates available according to the software.

Update... Just tried an evaluation version of Capture 7 which seems to be working.

Now I just need to find out if my Company can update. (Though given Capture 6's performance I'm surprised it doesn't show up as an upgrade).
