Capture XML files

Post by Henk_K »

Hi,

When I add a text to an image in Capture, for example a caption or a text in a text rectangle, I assume this text is stored somewhere in an XML file (seems likely because you can apply conditions to the additional screen elements). My question is: where does Capture store the file(s) with my texts? Are they accessible for users?

Thanks,
Henk

The text and other kinds of objects, plus the condition tags, are stored in a Capture .props file, in the same folder as the corresponding image. You won't see these files directly in Flare's Content Explorer. But if you look in Windows Explorer, you'll see .props files listed there. If you use source control, the .props files will be added along with the images. If you're curious, you can open a .props file (which is XML) in a text editor to see what it contains.

Users of your Flare output will never know anything about the .props files; they aren't included in output.

RETIRED, but still fond of all the Flare friends I've made. See you around now and then!
