Hi,
I'm new to Lingo and was wondering if it's possible to stop certain words (namely the ones from the UI of our software) being translated. I was hoping that you could list certain <span> classes to avoid translation but haven't been able to find this feature. The feature needs to be selective, as it depends on context. For example, it may that the word 'File' should be translated when it's not referring to a UI option, but it should not be translated when mentioning File in the context of the UI.
Grateful for assistance.
Ian

Assuming that you are hiring a translator rather than doing machine translation,
And assuming that you have a friendly translator, using a tool compatible with Flare.
Then your guess is correct. Wrap an agreed-upon span around the part that shouldn't be translated.

We're doing machine translation using Google's engine. The problem is that Lingo seems to discard the span class="notranslate" tags and everything is translated.
