Formatting the letters in a lettered ordered list

Post by CJTA »

Hi Flare pros!

I can't find/figure out how to format JUST THE LETTERS of my lettered ordered list (<ol>).

For example:
A. Sample text
B. Sample text
C. Sample text

So I want to add colour and text formatting just to the actual letters, not to the "Sample text" after each letter.

Thoughts?
Thank you!

Should be the same as formatting the labels on any other ordered list. You have two options.
  • Use Flare autonumbers instead of the HTML default labeling, and you can set a span style which gets applied to the autonumber.
  • Always use paragraph tags in your list items, and use complex selectors on the OL LI tag to define the style for the letters, and on OL LI P for the regular text (overriding anything that you have set on the letters that you don't want on the regular text).

If you are producing PDF output exclusively, you could set up a custom list format, described here: https://help.madcapsoftware.com/flare20 ... ormats.htm.

This technique is not supported for online outputs.
