Skin > Logo URL in 2019 R2

Post by GrahamR »

Where, oh where, has the skin setting Logo URL gone in 2019 R2?
Am I misrembering it ever existed? I also have 2018 R2 installed and can't find it there either.

Basically I want to click my corporate logo and instead of hitting the webhelp home page I want to nav to my corporate website. Doable anymore?

I haven't installed 2019 R2 yet, due to the many issues.
However, in plain old 2019, it is in the Skin, in:
Styles tab
Under Styles > Header > Logo > Background > Image you can specify the logo image.
Hope that helps in 2019 R2...

Thanks Feebeegeebee - but I wasn't very clear I'm afraid.

I've got my logo in place (via the setting you've highlighted) but my memory (which is maybe failing me) is that you could configure a URL so that when you click the logo it loads your custom URL.
Doing so now reloads the default help landing page.

Maybe I'm misremembering as I've been through old help projects and none of them seem to click through to a custom URL.

Ah. OK. I see.
You need to go to the Setup tab in the Skin Editor.
There is a Logo URL: field
Enter your company URL here.
Make sure you include the http:// prefix in the URL path otherwise it won't work.
Hope that sorts it.

After scratching my head a lot, I've just discovered deep down in Flare's help that the Logo URL option is only available in HTML5 Side and Top Navigation skins.
(https://help.madcapsoftware.com/flare20 ... Output.htm)
So if you're not using either of those skins, the option isn't there.
Explains why I can see it and you can't, I guess...
It would be better if the option were there, but greyed out, with a Top Nav/Side Nav only hint.
