All --
I am a senior technical writer retiring from the corporate world in June. I am quite excited for this new chapter in my life, but hoping to do some contract/temp work on Flare projects to supplement my income.
I am wondering if there is much demand for this type of service. For example (not inclusive, just some thoughts):
- Handling repetitive tasks
- Writing original topic content
- Writing API docs
I am currently a full-time tech writer for Oracle. I have also been a very successful tech writer for Google, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and Seagate Technology.
So, what are your thoughts? Do any of your groups need additional help to relieve some strain on your time or to simply offload some tasks?
