Making divs into full width tables

Making divs into full width tables

When building a word target, divs are converted into single cell tables apparently. But how can i get these tables to either be the full width of the page? Essentially I want them to have the auto-fit to width of the page property so that the text doesn't wrap around them but instead starts below the div/table.
