Hi
I did something I never do. I installed the new version immediately I got the notification and now I am sorry.....
I have a home page in topnav that worked absolutely fine in previous version (2020 r1) and now I can't click in my search bar....
I have a home page flmsp, home page htm.I In the flmsp it has script ( small js), bodyproxy and then footer incl. snippet of (conditioned) content...
In the home page, banner, 3 lines of text.
Now When I try to click in the home page search bar, it highlights the text in the 1st line of the footer(ie first line after "bodyProxy".
I asked a colleague who has not yet updated to r2 to build 2 projects on his computer. He did and they both work....
Now I need to roll back... where can I find the previous installation file (if I installed it straight from Flare notification, did not download the SW)
Thanks
Joanna

Re: problem in new version need to rollback
Given that you don't have the installation files for Flare 2020, I think your only recourse is to contact MadCap to get a download link.
Or, does your colleague have the installation files for that version?
And, although I realize this is water under the bridge for you at the moment, one should always, always study an update first, in a controlled fashion, before installing it. I offer my best practices here: https://www.madcapsoftware.com/blog/bes ... e-release/

You can download older versions of Flare by going here - you need to enter your licence key:

Yippee! I did not know this. You're my "learn something new every day" teacher today, Dave.Dave Lee wrote:You can download older versions of Flare by going here - you need to enter your licence key:

I also had issues, however I did read the release notes and didn't think there would be any issues in upgrading. However, after publishing our project I noticed a handful of image paths had been reverted, some images removed and some bookmark links broken. I had to go through and update all the broken paths & links before republishing. Other than upgrading from 2020 r2 to r3 I hadn't done any updates. This is the second time we've had issues, so I won't be upgrading in the future

Please can you report that to Madcap as well, because that's unacceptable but if they don't know about it, they won't fix it/test it properly next time.
