Publish to remote file system with different timezone

Post by owensmn »

Hi
We have an issue with the slowness of publishing a largish project (~1400 file) to a remote server. It's taking anywhere between 1.5 to 4 hours depending on who is publishing.

The "Update only changed files" tick-box in the destination file, I am assuming, must do a timestamp comparison on the local / remote file to see if it different? I can't see Flare doing a diff of every file!

Does the publish function take account of the remote system timezone?

E.g., if the remote server is "behind" the time on my local machine, the publish might think every file newer and publish everything, even though only 1 or 2 of the 1400 files have actually changed.
Or the opposite, if the remote server is "ahead" of the time on my local machine, will it publish anything?

Best Regards
Mark
