Why is Rebuild sometimes enabled and sometimes disabled?

Our team has multiple projects in Central. When I go to the Build list for a project and click the 3-dot menu, sometimes the Rebuild option is available, and other times it's grayed out.

I've looked for patterns as to why this might be happening, but I can't see any. It doesn't appear to be associated with certain users, or whether the build is set to Keep, or whether it's associated with a live site.

Any suggestions?

Okay, per Murphy's Law, I figured out the answer soon after I posted the question I couldn't find this documented anywhere. But Rebuild is only available in Central if the build was generated from Central. If it was generated from Flare, Rebuild is not available.
