getting started

Post by cayennep »

on a trial but not getting far - very lean documentation for central and looks like a lot is in the videos (SO much rather have text!)

to quickly get info to start, hope to pose some questions here and/or in Slack.

First one - how to grant access to the site/output?

Any help appreciated, thanks

If you are publishing with no access restrictions, there's no need to grant access. Users can just goto the URL of the live site.

If you set the site to private, you'll need to add permitted users to a team and associate the team with the site. When you send out an invitation to a new user, you can also set their "onboarding" site which should take them to that site when they log in.

So, I would tend to:
1. Create site, associate it with a build from your project (either built on Central or published from Flare) and set it Live and Private. (Sites tab)
2. (Create, and then) add a team to the site. (Teams tab)
3. (Invite, and then) add users to the team. (Users tab)

(And I so agree with you about preferring text over videos :( ).

Hope this helps.
