Display chapter numbers in TOC editor

Hi,

is there a way to display chapter numbers in the TOC editor? (I mean the editor in the attached picture)
This would help greatly for creating print outputs

To the best of my knowledge, there is not. I assume that you're using auto-numbering for your h1 headings. Flare has been programmed to calculate auto-numbers at build time, so Flare wouldn't "know" what to show in a TOC file, just as it doesn't show calculated auto-numbers in the XML Editor but shows them all starting at 1. (The exception is when there are multiple headings of the same level within the same topic, in which case Flare will increment the numbers, for example, 1.1, 1.2, 1.3).

Thanks for your reply, yes I`m using autonumbering for my h1 to h4 headings. Your explanation sounds plausible.
