Scaling Elasticsearch for production

Hi!

Has anyone successfully set up a site using Elasticsearch in a production environment? If so, how did you handle scaling/redundancy? This isn't something the documentation talks about, and support didn't have any recommended best practices. (I put in a feature request.) My thinking is, to achieve redundancy, each server hosting the site would need its own instance of Elasticsearch and the Content Portal. I'm working on testing that now, but I'm curious if anyone has found a setup they are happy with.
