I have a really strange problem. I use the same Architecture chapter in two different manuals, so I have created this as a separate Architecture TOC and insert the TOC it into the location I want in each manual TOC. I want all chapters to start on a Right page, so I use the Chapter Break, the same default Page Layout page, set the Page Type to Right, and set “Auto-end on left page” to Enabled.
For the targets, I use the “Inject empty pages as needed” checkbox in both targets. In other words, both manuals are set up absolutely identically. However, in one manual the chapter does not start on a right page.
Or rather, it sort of does, because the header of an otherwise empty page indicates that the Architecture chapter starts on the right-hand page, but the heading starts on the following (left) page.
I use this method for other chapters, and they work fine. It is just this one chapter in this one manual misbehaving.
I have tried everything I can think of, changing enabled to disabled, even copying the TOC and target that work and editing them to fit. How can the same files behave differently? What am I not seeing? Any suggestion what to look for?
