Is there a way to get the entries in a PDF TOC to retain the inline formatting of the content to which it is linked? For example, if the heading is:
The Correct Use of Italics and Bold Text
the entry in the TOC will appear like this:
The Correct Use of Italics and Bold Text
What I do now is manually edit the actual PDF output and format the content appropriately. Which is inefficient and I inevitably miss one or two occurrences. Anyone know of a better workaround?
Thanks.
(I also posted this to the general topics forum, hopefully that is not a faux pas.)
Can TOC entries retain inline formatting of linked-to headings?
Re: Can TOC entries retain inline formatting of linked-to headings?
I called MadCap Support and they confirmed that there is no way to retain the inline formatting of a heading in the TOC entries. I'll probably put in a feature request. Anyone else interested in seeing that feature added, or is it just me?
