Hi there
I'm very confused. There is a copy of all topics and images in my Snippets folder in Flare. These files seem to be oder than the current version in the Content folder.
Does anyone know what's going on here?
Thanks
Suze
Older copies of topics and images are in snippets folder

Did you accidentally and copy and paste your project content in there during one of your project backup or project content moving sessions?
If you submit your bug feedback request here, the more likely it'll get fixed or included in a future release

Hi there
Thanks for the quick reply.
No I don't think so.
I was wondering if something funny had hapened with the source control and SoureSafe?

Did you change the Working folder paths recently in Source Safe and the project content ended up getting mapped. If not its just a matter of moving things out of the Snippets folder. I don't think i've heard of Flare moving images and topics into the snippets folder on purpose.

Hi there
Thanks for that.
I'll not include the copies in SourceSafe for now, and I'll delete them at the end of the project.
I've checked and the newest files seem to be used, so I think this will be OK.
Thanks again.

Also, check where you have the output destination specified in the target. DO NOT have the output go back into the Content or Project Explorer folders. You might have inadvertently specified the Snippet folder as your output folder and you're looking at the generated output instead of the source files.

Re: Older copies of topics and images are in snippets folder
Hi there
The compiled help file was huge (more than doubled in size), so I had to sort it out.
It looked like every file from the project was copied in the snippets folder; TOC files, alias files, .h files, target files, log files, all the topic HMTL files, BMPs and JPGs - everything. All copied in the snippet folder.
I checked Lisa's suggestion in the backup copy I took before I deleted the files. There were no CHMs in there, just all the project files.
I don't know what happened here. Anyway I just deleted them all - 527 files, and left the snippets behind.
The help compiled correctly and is back to a more sensible size.
Very strange, but it seems to be OK now.
Thanks for your help everyone.
