Re: Feedback Server vs. Service
Uhm, I can just guess which question you have. Service is hosted by MadCap, Server is hosted by yourself or your customer. The difference is if you want to deal with some IIS installation or have MadCap and their hosting provider get sleepless nights from that. I think it depends mostly on the sensitivity of the entire system. If there is a chance that proprietary or confidential information may find its way into the comments then having it hosted by some 3rd party may not follow the policies. IIRC, a service license is also cheaper than a server license, but don't quote me on that.

Re: Feedback Server vs. Service
Actually, I had an even more general question that I worried was beneath most of the experts on this forum, so I bailed. Thanks for responding. Sounds as though the server is the better bet.

Re: Feedback Server vs. Service
First time I saw it there was only a full stop (period). If we keep watching long enough the question might appear...RamonS wrote:Well, your post contains only a smiley.

I saw the full stop as well when I replied, but wasn't sure what happens. It is the first time I saw a smiley grow up.

I tried to delete the original post before anyone responded but couldn't find the delete button. Now look what I started.

You should be able to delete your own posts -- the delete is the little X icon at the top right of the post.
But don't feel bad that the thread got away from you. It happens to everyone at some time or other. Usually we stop before it rolls to the third page.

Far be it from me to beat this thing into the ground, but I can't find the red X. Seriously, I can't find it; otherwise, you wouldn't see this post.
Commit me.

Re: Feedback Server vs. Service
Because it is a red X and only visible in a posted post (otherwise there would be nothing to delete). I attached a screen shot and circled the X button. Hope this helps.

Sorry, but the attached is all I'm seeing at the top of my posted post. I must have something turned off?

Maybe it is an admin only feature. If you every create another post and want it to be ditched let one of the MVPs or MadCap supporters know.

Thought I remembered having access to the red X in the past. If I need to delete a future post, I'll replace the text with, "Please delete post."
Thanks.
