Apply Character Style to Index Entry

Post by Pohutukawa »

I have looked through the Help and this subforum, but I haven't found the answer yet.

I would like to apply defined character style to parts of some index entries. For example, I would like to show See also in italic. An index entry might look like this:

insert:See also add.

The rendered version would look more like:

insert
      See also add.

I guess that the problem is that when I have my Index Entry panel open I cannot see the Style panel. Is it valid to apply formatting to specific words within an index entry (using Flare)?

(For example, in FrameMaker, one would simply enter the character tag in brackets, such as See also <Default Para Tag>add.)

In Flare, how do we do this, please?

I think the current version does not support this feature as you request.

i imagine this is a popular request, and the teams is likely to have included this feature in future releases.
If you submit your bug feedback request here, the more likely it'll get fixed or included in a future release
