I have been experiencing a significant number of crashes. I started keeping track of them in April. Last week's numbers were:
25 June 1
26 June 1
27 June 1
29 June 2
2 July 3
It seems to happen mostly when I am doing a lot of copying and pasting. It does not correct itself to just restart. I have to reboot the machine.
Is this normal?

Re: significant number of crashes
I noticed this with copying and pasting, but I don't do it that often, so it's not a huge problem for me. I think if you just copy/paste slower it is ok.

And what version of Flare are you using?

Re: significant number of crashes
Here are some steps to try; I'd try each step and see if it helps solve your problem before going on to the next step:
1. Uninstall and reinstall .NET version 2.
2. Clean out your MadCap registry entries. (Flare will re-create them when you launch Flare again.)
3. Create a new Windows user account and access Flare from that account.

Re: significant number of crashes
I am using Flare 3.1.0. My problem is that I get a dialogue box asking me if I want to send the problem report to Microsoft and then Flare goes away. When I restart Flare, it get up and then the dialogue reappears and then Flare dies again. The only way I can get Flare to run again is to reboot the machine.
I'm running Flare on an NCS with XP 2002 SP2; Pentium 4, 3.20 GHz, 2GB of RAM remotely
from an IBM ThinkCentre running XP 2002 SP2 Pentium 4, 3.00GHz .99 GB RAM
