Where are Favorites stored

I hope you'll forgive me for asking a question that isn't related to the Flare tool in particular, but I've been trying, without success, to find out where the topics added to a user's Favorites tab are stored. They are certainly very persistent.

Hi, Curly,

They're stored in the file hh.dat, which is in the hidden folder %USERPROFILE%\Application Data\Microsoft\HTML Help. So, typically:

C:\Documents and Settings\Curly\Application Data\Microsoft\HTML Help\hh.dat

Other settings that are stored in this file are:

• The most recent size and position of each help file that you've opened.
• The most recently used tab in the navigation pane of each help file.
• Any search terms that you previously submitted on the Search tab of each help file.
