MadCap Software displays as the Author

Post by ruthen »

MadCap Software displays as the Author in the "Document Properties" of the Word file.

Where do I change this to be my company's name?

I don't think you can change this. I reported it ages ago, and got email that it was logged in the development database as an item for consideration. It looks like it hasn't been fixed in V4.

I wanted to set the Author, Company, and document title properties from Flare into Word.

Now if you want to submit a feature request ...

I might make another request as well - now, I'd really like all my variables to become Word document properties.

While that may be desired, it is common practice to insert the name of the editing application. Just look at the source of web pages, many of them show the application name and not your name. For a web page it is easy to change it, don't know how easy it is in Word.
