Discovered by chance that the search function in DotNet help looks in index keywords as well as topic content, which can give unexpected results. For instance a topic indexed with keyword MyIndex will be found if you search for MyIndex even if the term does not appear in the topic. Confusing to the user, since it raises the question of why this topic is found. HTML help compiled from the same project does not do this.
Is there any way to stop this happening?

What version are we talking about? I have v 3.1 and there is no entry fro Excluding index entries from search...

They must have introduced that in version 4. Sorry. There may not be a way to exclude them from a search in v3.1.
