Cleaning Up Image Files

I have imported several different documents to create a single HowDoI reference for the company where I work. The problem is I now have a huge number of imported, badly named graphics. Many of these are no longer used, as the documents were out of date and have since been updated. Is there any way to find "orphaned" graphics? That is, ones with no links to them? I used to be able to do this in Dreamweaver, but can't figure out how to do it in Flare.

What version of Flare are you using?

Oops, sorry, I thought the report I was thinking of was in Flare v4. It's actually in Analyzer v2 that it'll tell you if you have an image file that isn't being called by any topics or stylesheet or anything else. I don't remember if that option was in Analyzer v1. In any case, if you don't have Analyzer v2, then you might be able to download a trial version and use it to find the unused graphics. It is a good investment, though, for the long run, especially for some of its other features, like snippet suggestions.

In the short term, though, you can probably go with a trial version of Analyzer 2.

I think the trial version only tells you the first 10 occurrences of an issue/report.

It's 10 at a time, isn't it, and not 10 altogether? I mean, if she finds 10 unused images and deletes them then shuts down Analyzer and restarts it, then it'll find the next 10 unused images. Granted, that will be a PITA if she has a lot of images, but it might still be faster than trial-and-error, and it'll be a good case study of why her company should buy her Analyzer 2.

Analyzer in Trial Mode will only give the first 10 results that it finds. If those errors are corrected then the next 10 will be found.
