Does Flare 4.0 work with .NET 3.5 SP1?

Yes. Well, v4.2 does for sure. This is a new machine and I started with v4.2. Can't remember when .NET 3.5 SP1 came out in relation to v4.0.

I have 4.0 MadcapViewer with .NET 3.5 SP1 - help does not work.
Do I need to recompile the help project since I had an older version of MapCap(3.0) and .NET(3.5) before?

If the out was compiled with V3 you cannot view it with the V4 viewer, but need to recompile it in Flare 4 first. After that it should work fine.

Is that the only version of .NET on your machine? You can have numerous versions on the same machine. I have 1.1, 1.1 Hotfix, 2.0 SP 2, 3.0 SP2, and 3.5 SP1. I had those same versions on my old computer and I didn't have a problem when I was using Flare v3.x or 4.0.

What version of Flare are you using? 3.x, 4.0, or 4.2? There is also a newer help viewer for v4.2.

I have multiple verisions of .NET. Currently I am using Flare 4.2.

What version of the DotNet Help Viewer do you have installed? You might have to install the v4.2 version of the help viewer to be able to view help generated in Flare v4.2.
