Hi,
I’m a new X-Edit user and I have a question.
Is it possible for reviewers to edit Flare project content (i.e. topics) without having the content be specifically sent to them by the Flare user for review?
Our goal is to give everyone on the team the capability of updating software Help documents without getting a Flare user involved? We would rather have our Flare user get involved during a software release cycle to republish our help documentation.
If this isn’t possible with X-edit, does MadCap offer software that makes this possible?
Thanks,
Duncan

Re: Distributed Updating
If you want authors to be able to edit topics they really do need to have a copy of Flare (or Blaze).
If it comes to a pinch they could possibly edit the topic HTML directly (ie notepad), but I don't think that would work well either.
Another alternative is to maintain in Word and import to Flare, but as can be seen elsewhere in the forums that is unlikely to be a viable alternative either.
You can add a feature report: https://www.madcapsoftware.com/bugs/submit.aspx.
