Reinstall .NET assuming that is an option (some Windows versions claim they have it built in an the typical reinstall fails). Other reasons may be real-time virus scanning that locks files that Flare uses. What might also help is drive defragmentation using MyDefrag (works well) or Defraggler (haven't tested it yet).

How does one reinstall .NET?RamonS wrote:Reinstall .NET assuming that is an option (some Windows versions claim they have it built in an the typical reinstall fails). I do a virus scan every week, so that's unlikely.
I also defrag every morning.

The database that the built-in Analyzer features in Flare uses may have become corrupted. With Flare closed, delete the entire Analyzer folder in the project folder. When you start Flare, it will re-scan the entire project and rebuild the database. Maybe it'll be better after that.

Copy that. Done. I will fire her up, let her rip, and see what happens.LTinker68 wrote:The database that the built-in Analyzer features in Flare uses may have become corrupted. By the way, is there a way to turn off advanced scanning? Is there a benefit to turning it off?

How do you defrag? Do you use a real defrag tool or that craptastic fake that comes with Windows?

AusLogics Disk Defrag -- that's what I use.

Never heard of that one, but I am sure it is a million times better than what comes with Windows.

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs, select the version(s) of Microsoft .NET Framework x.x (SPx) and click Change (or Change/Remove) to repair the installation.ccardimon wrote:How easy is it to reinstall .NET? Or you could just download the installer and do either a repair or full uninstall/reinstall that way. Either way will work, although I never seem to have luck with repairing .NET.
