TOC books won't stay closed in IE 8

TOC books won't stay closed in IE 8

When I generate WebHelp for my project, some TOC books contain additional folders and other books don't.

The books that contain embedded folders won't stay closed after I click to open and inspect them.

The books that simply contain "loose" topics will close again and stay closed.

Any ideas? I'm wide open here.
