Mercurial Support

Post by danpupek »

We are switching to Mercurial. I can get neither HGSCC or VisualScc to work with flare. It's a shame because I like flare a great deal but would love to integrate it with Mercurial. Has anyone gotten this to work? Are there plans to add support?

thanks

Mercurial's use is growing in popularity. Kiln, the new VCS produced by fogcreek, is actually a mercurial implementation: http://www.fogcreek.com/Kiln/learnmore.html

Mercurial has 2 SCC providers (VisualHG and hgscc) both are very good but only support the latest Visual Studio SCC api. Flare only seems to support the older api. So, I guess the question is whether Flare intends to support the newer SCC api.

I believe that this is the same problem I have with the SourceGear Vault integration.

I simply does not work in MadCap, even SourceGear Vault complies to all known VSS API
standards etc.

Somehow MadCap managed to implement a very dedicated source control logic.
