Thank you for replying. A project dropped into my lap out of thin air. Of course I said yes. But this is how we learn. I'm off to fire up Mimic and see how much trouble I can cause.

A tip: press the print screen button frequently. I usually do it after the screen refresh has finished for any action.
Extra frames are easy to remove and this way you are guaranteed you will capture everything. Sometimes the auto capture leaves a ghost image of a menu that is a bit slow to paint...

I agree hit print screen anytime you are sure you want the shot, its better to have too many screen shots, then not the right one, With Mimic or Captivate, I was always a Manual recorder type of guy!

Re: Can Mimic create Flash output?
I also find that Mimic can help the workflow...
If I record a process I'm documenting in Mimic I can replay it whenever to refresh my mind when writing the steps. The bitmpas can be used in capture, and by copy and paste you can add the callouts and stuff so that the sceenshots in the print version are exactly the same as in the movie. Great for online learning...
The only part that annoys me is I have to take the final image for print into snagit to get a good torn edge effect. Needs fixing, Mr Madcap (and I have added an enhancement request).
